A team of angry airport baggage staff who caught wind of the misinformation every major news site was spreading about the ‘Breastfeeding mum kicked out of a comedy show,’ have decided to ban together this afternoon, to stop US comedian Arj Barker from returning to his home in Coffs Harbour.

If you’ve been living under a rock, you might not be aware that for the past two days, the Australian news media has posted roughly 1000 articles about a woman being kicked out of a comedy show for simply holding a quiet, well behaved baby.

This news has triggered outrage right across Melbourne, as the city comes down from the excitement of their world famous comedy festival.

In scenes rivalling the great Bob Hawke-led trade union boycott of the chauvinistic crooner American Frank Sinatra in his final tour of Australia, Arj Barier has struggled to escape the hostilities of Naarm today.

After finally making his way to the airport in the boot of a sympathetic Peter Hellier’s Rolls Royce Phantom, Barker learnt that city’s disgust has extended to a team of baggage handlers at Melbourne Airport – who are standing by the mum, by refusing to load up Barker’s luggage.

“Who kicks out a mum for breastfeeding, that’s wrong!”, says one handler.

“it’s 2024, you can’t do that!”

“Nah it’s not right!”

“We demand a live TV apology broadcasted nationwide first thing tomorrow on ABC breakfast with Tony Armstrong, otherwise these bags are staying on the tarmac”

“Shame on you Arj Barker!”

More to come.
